·Students receive a $100 check and are invited with their parents to a Chamber membership luncheon where they also receive a plaque.

·There are a lot of applications to review for April and May so it is best that your students apply earlier rather than later as there is so much competition for only 2-4 awards at the end of the year.

Fil-Am Grant Scholarship

S.M. Breakfast Rotary Special Recognition Awards - Total = $21,000

·         $1,000 each awarded to 21 top students selected from all high schools in the Santa Maria Valley.

·         Same criteria from scholarship process in the past to be used: Academic, Community Service, Ltr. of Rec., and Essay

 

S.M. Breakfast Rotary Hancock College Bound Support Awards - Up to $2,000

·         Four $500 awards selected at large from all the applicants who will be attending Hancock College their freshman year.

·         Scholarship is renewable for an additional $500 in their second year provided student has completed 18 units by the end of their first year and has maintained a minimum 2.50 G.P.A.

·         In 2017, Breakfast Rotary will provide up to four $500 awards to second year Hancock Students along with these four $500 awards to first year Hancock Students or a total of $4,000.

 

Other: Continue practice of precluding children and grand-children of S.M Breakfast Rotarians from receiving scholarships from Club.

Filipino Seniors Association of Santa Maria Valley Scholarship
