Brian Smolley Memorial
"Hardrock Award"
The Hardrock is awarded to the
player who exemplifies what a St. Joseph High School football player
represents. The recipient is an athlete who through his actions, attitudes
and leadership, exhibits "Knight Pride" each and every down, each and
every day.
The Hardrock award is dedicated
to Brian Smolley, who graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1977, and who
spent his fall days playing football for the Green and White. Brian lived
his life like he played football - full speed and with great enthusiasm.
Brian was taken from us physically in early 1992, but his spirit lives on in
each Knight Football Team as it takes to the field to do battle.
